摘要：随着中国的开放改革和社会主义市场经济体制的构建，更加凸显出我国高校的平面设计教育明显滞后于社会经济发展的现实需要，也滞后于现代平面设计的实践活动。这个问题，长期以来没有能够得到根本解决，并且矛盾愈加突出。平面设计的教育则表现得尤其明显。承认平面设计的学科地位，尽快建立起适合中国传统文化与现代科学技术相结合的，形成有利于生产力高效益发展的视觉传达设计教育体系，是现阶段以及今后相当长的一段时期我们国家社会经济发展的需要。
