本单元以世界性的体育盛会──Olympic Games 为话题,旨在通过本单元的教学,使学生了解奥运会的起源、宗旨、比赛项目以及古现代奥运会的异同。学会用英语表达自己的兴趣爱好以及如何向别人推荐某一种爱好,同时培养学生对体育运动的爱好。

Step 1.Warming up

展示一些中国体育健儿在28届雅典奥运会上夺冠的精彩画面,且此画面必须涉及到各个比赛项目提出一些问题如Who can tell me what it is about? Can you describe what you have seen? Do you know some details about the Olympic Games? 引出本单元的话题---奥运会。在此过程中教师展示一些学生熟悉并喜欢的体育明星及体育运动的画面,从视觉上激发学生对本话题的兴趣,并为过渡到Warming up部分做准备。
(2)此画面会自然涉及到一些奥运会比赛项目,和学生一起学习归纳,以达到使学生了解奥运会比赛项目的目的

设计目的 考察学生对奥运知识的了解,激活学生已有的背景知识,并使他们积极主动的参与本单元中心话题的思考与讨论
