The students have a wide range of activities the club offers such as Longteng Literature Society, Green Apple Radio Station, Green Apple Chorus, Green Volunteer Group, Calligraphy and Painting Association, Photography Association, Chess Club, Green Eyes Environmental Group and so on. Recently over 400 students are registered members of these diverse club activities, which greatly enrich their school life. For example, the Comic Association organizes charity sales of their comic products. There also have been activities like “Help the disabled girl”, “Help the local community” and so on. Longteng Literature Society founded in 1987 is another popular group which was elected as “One of National 100 Excellent Literature Societies” with its newspaper titled as “National Excellent Campus Paper”. We excel in Arts Festival both at district and city levels. All of these help to create our strong school culture characterized by our annual events like “New Year Performances”, “Longteng Writing Contest”, “Science Festival”, “Art Festival”, “Sports Meeting”.

七、爱心工程

我校在2001年2月成立的“爱心基金会”，以“每周一元捐，真心到永远”为主题，旨在“扶一株桃李，争一分春光;助一名学生，赢一片希望”，让贫困学生在基金会助学活动中得到切实的帮助能梦想成真早成栋梁。10年来，基金会通过举办多种形式的捐助活动共收集爱心款超过50万元，使校内外350余名同学受到资助。“每周一元捐”活动现已被广大师生誉为“学校里的希望工程”

VII Charity Projects

With the motto of “One yuan one week, we’re sincere for ever”, “Kind Fund”，our charity group　　established in February 2011, aims at helping financially disadvantaged students to ease their financial pressure and go through their high school life. During the past ten years, “Kind Fund” has raised over 0.5 million Yuan, benefiting 350 students inside and outside the campus. This project is regarded by the whole school as “Hope Project in School”.

八、体育事业

我校体育事业经过二十多年的努力，取得了令人瞩目的成绩，成为龙湾区学校体育建设的一面旗帜，在全市乃至全省也有一定的影响。几年来，我们培养出一大批的体育人才，为学校争得了荣誉。学校先后被评为市体育传统项目学校、市业余训练先进集体、全国学校体育卫生工作先进单位。学校曾获得市中学生运动会团体冠军2次，亚军2次，曾连续三年获市元旦健身长跑比赛团体冠军，2010年获得区中学生篮球赛男子组冠军、女子组亚军的好成绩，区中学生足球赛冠军。

VIII Achievements in Physical Education

Over 20 years’ hard work, we have made remarkable achievements in Physical Education (P.E.), making a name for itself in our city and even in our province. We’re proud to say that numerous sports talents from our school have won great honors for us, for which our school was named as “City School with Tradition in Physical Education.”, “Advanced School in Amateur Training”, and “National Advanced School in Physical Education”. Altogether, we have won team championship twice in City Middle School Sports Meeting, twice runner-up. We also have won team championship three times in City New Year Long-distance Running. In 2010 we won championship of Boy Basketball Match and runner-up of Girl Basketball Match as well as championship of Football Match in our district.

The total area of the school is up to 30,143 square meters，with the building area 22,321 square meters. Besides an administration building, a comprehensive building and a lab building, there is also a canteen, students’ apartment building and a supermarket. The campus is not only elegant and beautiful, but modern. All of these teaching facilitates in our school like a well-equipped internet center, fine CCU Center Central System, a computer lab and multi-media classrooms, a sound lab and campus network and so on, have reached the standard for a modernized school.
