New Journey to the West教学反思

在PEP小学英语教材第8册的第一单元,主要就学习了简单的比较级,《New Journey to the West》就是针对这一单元来设计的一节比较级的复习课。

New Journey to the West一课,顾名思义就是借用了中国传统的小说西游记这个题材为背景故事,师傅被妖怪施法,下了3道魔咒,如果徒弟4人想把师傅就出来就必须过三道关。

第一关单词关,通过出示西游记动画片中的5种角色形象,让同学们用简单的形容词来回答老师的问题“What he/she like?”,再通过这5个角色之间的对比,让同学们在句型“He/She is taller/ older……than……。”中去梳理本单元及课外的较有代表性的单词。将改写比较级的规律相同的单词用同一种颜色的单词呈现出,让同学们去寻找出比较级改写时的一些规律。最后通过一个chant来训练单词和基本句型。

第二关句型关,将Monky/Pig/Sand/Horse四名徒弟的数据告诉每一组的学生,让同学们运用How old/tall/heavy……are you?这个句型去询问其他人,然后将数据统计在自己的表格内,并将这个过程表演出,在最后做一个回报,让同学们在这个调查输出过程中去运用所学的单词和句型,做到学以致用。

第三关阅读理解检测关,出示一篇Monky写给Pig的一封信,然后出示三组题目从简到难,第一题判断,检测学生对短文的理解,第二题比较级的改写,检测学生对比较级改写规律的掌握,第三题问答,检测学生运用比较级句型去回答问题的能力。

同学们闯过三关后也就说明同学们对于比较级这个知识已经有了很好的掌握了,同学们在老师创设的西游记情景中走出,回到自己生活的现实中来,同学们已经是6年级下学期了,马上就面临着小学生活即将结束这样一个现实,自已和自己的朋友也一起共同相处了6年的时间,有过难题一起解决了,有过伤心事一起承担过,有过开心事一起大笑过,这时让同学们给自己的朋友写一封信。为了降低难度给同学们提供了书写模板。

本节课设计之初的想法是好的,但很多环节在具体操作上就比较的困难,特别是第一关单词关时,如果处理这些比较级单词,如果呈现和梳理,即便现在讲完了课,我还是没有一个更好的解决办法。或者是不是因为我的这节课被这个情景套住了,以至于很多东西没有发挥出来,同学们的反应也是平平。

说到学生,我的课堂驾驭能力还有待提高,在同学们不感兴趣的时候,我是不是应该通过自己的肢体语言、说话时候的语调等等方式去调动同学们,或者在同学们进行讨论的时候我应该是时候的给予小声的提醒,来提高这堂课的学习氛围。

这堂课有着明显的先松后紧的状态,前面的环节我处理的有些松、慢、细,以至于到后期的三关没有彻底的完成和让学生写封信没有在课上进行,只能放在课下完成。
