2 能够听说读写有关动物种类的交际用语：What kind of animal are … ? they are … How tall is it? It’s … meters tall. How fast is it? How heavy is it? As…as… 

3 能够通过听、读韵文掌握字母组合ly的发音规则，正确朗读含有该字母组合的单词;嫩够总结在形容词后加ly变为副词的规律。 

4 能够通过阅读了解不如动物、昆虫、鸟类、爬行动物以及渔类的主要特点。 

其他目标： 1 能够通过本单元的学习，培养和提高学生所用所学语言表述某一动物的种类、高度、重量、速度等特点并就以上信息进行交流的能力。 2 通过谈论与动物有关的话题，使学生了解动物是人类的朋友，培养学生爱护动物的观念。

 教学重点 1掌握并正确使用有关动物种类的单词 2听懂、会说有关动物种类的功能句。 3能够就某一动物的种类、高度、重量、速度等主要特点进行交流 4能够通过听、读韵文掌握字母组合ly的发音规则。 

教学难点 1 较难掌握的单词：reptile, insect, penguin, crocodile, ostrich,hummingbird, centimeter,  2 用as…as…结构来描述动物的某一特点。 3 语音知识的学习 4 复述故事。  

Lesson 13 

一、教学内容 1.本课学习有关动物的词汇：reptile  mammal  insect  crocodile Ostrich penguin whale  shark  hippo  zebra  lion  butterfly   

2.本课围绕动物及其描述的学习。What kind of animal are crocodiles?They are reptiles. 

二、教学目标  1.能够初步听懂、会说、认读本课词汇。 2.能够围绕本课句型进行交际和表达。 

三、教学重点 1 学习以下单词：reptile, bird, fish, insect, mammal, crocodile, ostrich, penguin, shark , whale, butterfly, hippo, zebra, lion 2 学习句型： What kind of animal are…? They are…   They are a kind of… 

四、教学难点： 1 New words: reptile, insect, penguin, crocodile, ostrich. 2 C项模仿范例说出自己所喜欢的动物的种类和特点，制作成一本名为动物世界手册的书。 

五、教学手段  1.教学录音磁带; 2.教学挂图; 3.学生和教师用单词卡片; 4.教师自制相关教具(如：自制课件、小奖品等)。 

六、教学方法 情景教学法、听说法、直接教学法 

七、教学步骤: 

1.Show some pictures: reptile mammal insect crocodile ostrich penguin whale shark hippo zebra lion butterfly   

Ask the Ss to look at the pictures, say them in pairs( Do you know them? What other animals do you know? )    

The teacher show the words : reptile  mammal  insect  bird  fish ( sorting the animal words into different items)  

2..Ask the Ss to listen to the tape 2 times and match. 

3.Ask the Ss try to check the answers in pairs. 

4.Ask the Ss to listen to the tape for the third time, and check the answers in class. Meanwhile, learn the new words: 

5.practise :   1) Read the words.             2) Look at a part of the pictures and say the words.             3) guessing game

6.Listen to part(B) and repeat it.  

7.Make a new dialogue according to part(B) 

8.Act the dialogue. 

9. Do a survey. ( ask and report) 9.Homework 1) Copy the new words 2) write a short passage
