四年级下册英语教学案例:This is his body

Step 1 : Revision (5分钟)

T: Do you like singing ?

Ss: Yes !

T: I like singing ,too !Let’s sing the song “ If you’re happy” ,OK ? But there is a little bit difference today. I’ll give you an example . Look and listen carefully,please.

T: OK! Can you sing now ? Come on follow me ,please !

T: Good ! You are so smart!Now !Another challenge for you !Can you chant the “Chant” in P52 ? You can follow the tape and do the action together.

评:歌曲 “If you’re happy”是学生相当熟悉的旋律。老师把英语版的歌词根据教学需求(尽量通过歌曲多复习身体部位单词)稍作改动,同时利用PPT呈现对应单词,让孩子通过改编的唱演的方式(原版中“击掌”等动作改成指向对应部位并读出该词两次的方式)将同时能复习到单词的“形”,力求通过此活动达到课前热身和单词复习的最佳效果。书本P52 的chant是学生容易接受的祈使句,跟第一课时已完成的Target形式一样,故可以直接用来作为检测性的热身活动。

B. Look and say

T: Hey ! You’re really happy now. I think you’ll be happier soon! Let’s go to the zoo together ,OK ?_ Ss: Yes !

T: Let’s go ! Look ! Here we are ! (利用PPT呈现“番禺香江野生动物园”图片及粘贴zoo)Ssh ! Look !What’s that ? (利用PPT呈现动物图片,但只看见动物的某个身体部位。图片上附有It’s a / an ______ . It has _____.的句型,在老师的示范后,学生利用图片和句型进行说话练习。)

评:此复习方式是在第一课时的基础上再次进行类似操练的。将动物图片只留某身体部位后进行猜测,既增加了该练习的趣味性,也较好地激发了学生的学习兴趣。在说话练习中有意识的进行了辅助性的层次设计,以帮助学生逐步熟悉所用句型。

S1: It’s a monkey. It has long arms and long legs.

S2: It’s an elephant. It has a long nose .

S3: It’s a rabbit . It has long ears .

S4: It’s a hippo ! It has a big mouth.

Step 2 : Set the situation and practice the language (10分钟)

A. Look and say

T : Are you happy at the zoo?

Ss : Yes !

T: Lovely animals , right ? So we must protect them . (出示protect animals 讲授并粘贴于Word Bank ) After the zoo , how about go to the moon now ? ( 出示 moon 单词卡片,简单教学后贴于Work Bank 。)Come on ! Here’s the spaceship ! (spaceship讲授并粘贴于Word Bank)Let’s go ! (呈现神州7号发射图)

T : Wow ! Here we are !Look ! That’s the moon ! How beautiful it is . Ssh ! What’s that ? Oh ! Extraterrestrial ! E.T. ! ( 出示E.T.单词简单教授并粘贴于Work Bank )What do they look like ? Here are some children’s imaginnation ! Look ! (PPT呈现若干月球人作品, 让学生用This is / These are ……进行看图简单描述。结合描述出示big , long 等单词并贴于Work Bank 。)

评:在此安排他人的“E.T.”科幻作品除了用于激发学生的参与热情,更主要是作为是学生复习第一课时中句型的操练材料。操练形式采用个体回答到集体复述,有利于个别中下生较好地重新复习巩固已学句型,减轻学习上的畏难情绪。

S1: This is his head .

T: Big or small ? ( 老师用身体语言帮助学习回忆big 和 small 的意思)

S1: It’s big .

T:Good! This is his head . It’s big ! What about here ? What are these ? (如此类推逐步引导学生用上述句型对PPT中外星人进行描述)

T : So , what’s your imagination of E.T. ? May I have a look ? Come on ! Show it and give your partner a short introduction . Go !(学生拿出课前提前布置的“E.T.”科幻画用This is / These are ……句型进行简单介绍。)

T:Nice pictures ! Any volunteers can give us a introduction ? (要求个别学生外出利用实物投影描述其作品)

S1: Look ! This is his head . These are his eyes . These are his ears . This is his mouth. These are his arms . These are his legs. These are his feet.

评:要求个别学生在Pair work 后进行外出展示,可能起到两种作用:1.好的示范作用;2.个别错误的呈现并顺势讲解作用。不管收到的是何种作用(尤其在借班上课中),都对教学有很好地促进作用。如在自己的班级中上课;老师则可有意识的安排两种典型学生实现两种作用。

Step 3 : Continue the situation , review and practice the old contents. ( 20分钟)

A. Presentation

T : E.T. is the owner on the moon . And what about the guard on the moon?(出示guard 并讲授贴于Work Bank )Are they robots ? Look ! Here’s my imagination !(出示一个用已学shapes 组成的robot ,在介绍的同时出示已学的shapes 和colors单词继而转入旧单词的复习运用)

T : Look ! The robot is made of shapes . This is / These are his 某部位。 It’s a/ They’re 某形状。 It’s / They’re 某颜色
