A Review of Research on Prose Art of Lao Zi in the 20th Century

Abstract: Since the 20 century, Lao zi’antecedents and philosophy was studied extensively in the 20th century. Literary research which was one of the research fields on Lao Zi achieved much but failed in some aspects in last century . In this essay the prose art of literary research on Lao Zi is reviewed briefly in three aspects: style character, sensibility connotation intension , and skill of language and style character ,etc. Its achievement and failure is reviewed , and prospected for the research in the 21st century is also mentioned.
