而中原地区的原史考古在考古学以及古文字、文献记载三种材料并重的情下，除了研究与考古学相关的各种课题外，还可以在文字资料的帮助下，建立中国原史的年表，并结合古文字、文献记载的时间、人物、事件、地点，复原出一种将考古学文化与史实相结合的中国原史时代。
