这些名词均含“机会”之意。
chance : 侧重指偶然或意外的机会，有时也指正常或好的机会。

opportunity : 侧重指有利或适合于采取行动，以达到某一目的或实现某种愿望的最佳时机或机会。

He never missed an opportunity of exposing their opportunism.(他从不放过一个机会来揭露他们的机会主义。)
occasion : 指特殊时机或良机，也指时节。

charge, price, fee, fare, cost, expense
这些名词均有“价格，费用”之意。
1.charge : 指提供服务时索取的费用，也指货物的价格、价钱。
Gasoline can be obtained on a reasonable charge.(汽油可以用合理的价钱购得。)
2.price : 指商品在市场出售的价格，尤指卖方对商品所提出的单价。比喻意义指付出的代价。
No price is too high for winning their support.(为了获得他们的支持, 任何代价均在所不惜。)
3.fee : 指上学、求医以及找律师等付的费用，还可指会费、借书费等。
Does your school charge school fees?(你们学校收费吗?)
4.fare : 侧重指旅行时所付的车、船费等费用。

5.cost : 指生产某东西的成本，也泛指商品的价格，可与price换用。

6.expense : 常指实际支付的费用总数额，有时也指钱的花费。
