Steven Spielberg is bringing classic animated character Tintin to life for an all-new big screen adventure.
Based on the Belgian comic strip, Tintin follows a young reporter and his dog Snowy as they travel the world solving mysteries.
Spielberg will produce the film for DreamWorks, but has not said whether it will be live-action, CGI or traditional animation.
Herge Studios chief Nick Rodwell, who is overseeing the project, told The Hollywood Reporter that the movie will be a big Hollywood production, nearer the $100 million mark than the $20 million.
