Nowadays, more and more college graduates choose to change their jobs on a frequent basis, which has arrested public attention. Different people offer different attitudes towards this new trend.
Those in favor of job-hopping argue that by doing so, the youngsters are more likely to better understand other fields and then to be better informed so as to find what they are really good at . Moreover，changing jobs frequently offers them a chance to get promoted in the sense that a diverse background can help them to be more competent. However, others take a totally different view that job-hopping too frequently is harmful to one's career development. For one thing, the more frequently you change your job, the less likely you are to be an expert in a particular area. Secondly, this will make the employers lose their confidence in the loyalty of the employees. No wonder when interviewing a candidate, an employer will be very much concerned about the resume of the applicant so as to evaluate the candidate's devotion to the company.
From my perspective, frequent job-hopping would become a hurdle to one's career development. To start up, experience matters a lot in making experts from fresh hands, so if one changes his job too frequetnly, he will not be able to attain a full-dimensional idea of that field. More importantly, job-hopping in most cases will make the college graduates more and more impatient, which will hurt their careers in the long run.
