Step 3 Fast-reading (Skimming)快速阅读(跳读)
1) 从题目和课文图片猜测课文的大意,让学生有个大概了解文章的题材和写法。
T: Look at the title and the pictrue, can you guess the general idea of the passage?
Ss:A trip across Canada by train.
(2) 在屏幕中显示下面六个问题,前五个问题是信息推理题。这些题目锻炼学生迅速提取文章信息的能力。教师先指导学生分析每个阅读问题,找出问题中的关键词和提示语,教会学生怎样处理不同类型的阅读题。问题六要求学生把地图和课文两方面的信息综合起来在地图上画出李黛玉与刘茜横穿加拿大的路线图,抓住她们的行踪也就了解了文章的结构线索,零散的信息就可以串联起来。

Step 4 Careful-reading(Information-organizing)细读(分析和整理信息)
(1)在屏幕中展示文章中的重要生词,让学生阅读一遍,帮助学生更好地看懂文章。

(1)浏览一遍加拿大基本信息的表格。
(2)简单总结文章的内容。
LiDaiyu and LiuQian traveled across Canada by a train .They first flied to Vacouver,which is the most beautiful city in Canada.And then they passed through the Rocky Mountains on the train to get to Calgary which is famous for its Stampede.On the train trip,they found Canada is an empty country with a small population.After crossing a wheat-growing province, they arrive in the city of Thunder Bay , a port in the center of Canada, where they could see ocean ships come all the way to the top of the Great Lakes.
Step6 Homework作业
(1)在文中划出难词,词组和句子,小组组长加以总结。
(2)假设自己是一位导游,根据本节课的信息写一篇介绍加拿大的导游词。
