1)whenever= no matter when 引导让步状语从句,“无论什么时候”

eg: You can ask for help whenever you need it.

2)引导名词性从句 eg: It is unwise to give children whatever they want.

3)adv. 究竟何时 eg: Whenever can I find the time to enjoy a long journey?
