⑴ Teenage smoking has become a big problem in the Malaysia as well as the rest of the world. Almost half the percent of teenagers who smoke never admit they have a problem. Once these teenagers start to smoke they become addicted physically and psychologically and that’s the part that makes it tough for them to quit. Teenage smoking is being promoted to kids through magazines, and television shows. Even though cigarette advertisements have been banned from television, it’s not enough. We have to find a way to ban all these things because it’s putting kid’s lives in ganger.

⑵ Why do teenagers start smoking? One of the most common reasons is peer (伙伴) pressure. Kids have a hard time resisting doing what their friends want. Teenagers who smoke are more likely to have lower self images. They start smoking because they think it will give them a better image like being cooler, more attractive, or more popular. Because of their low self image, they don’t have the confidence to “say no” when a cigarette is offered to them.

⑶ Teenagers who are smoking addicted because of the nicotine which makes it harder for them to quit. Once the nicotine enters your blood, your body needs the nicotine. This makes it very difficult to quit.

⑷ Here are some methods of quitting. Pick the day that you will stop smoking and stick to it! Drink lots of liquids ------ Fruit juices, water or herbal tea. These might not always work, but there is no sense in not trying.

⑸ In conclusion, learning to quit smoking takes a lot of time and encourageme

nts from parents, friends and family. However, it can be done if teenagers know the important facts about smoking.

Last Friday, I attended two painting lesson. In one class a student painted with her feet dip

into ink, and made a painting where there were lovely foot-paintings. Moreover, in the other class,

another student used a brush to paint so beautiful the landscape that I had a true scene in my mind.

As it is often the case, we did things as told before. We may make fewer mistakes and achieve

success by following which we have known or learnt. But take it serious that we need to make a

change and try something new, and we will never make a breakthrough. In my opinion, we should

get out our thinking limits and have new ways to do things in order to have greater success.
