二、应试要领

1.首先是仔细审题。特别注意内容要点,写作对象和交际目的。

2.尽管写草稿,实在没时间也要写一个提纲。

3.确定好时态。转述别人观点常用现在时。记叙经常发生的事用一般现在时,描写过去发生的事用过去时。

4.不生造中国式的英语。要用你听过的话来说,用你读过的句子来写。

5.注意写好首句,不要轻易下笔。尾句部分容易出错,要留意。

6.内容要点最好在原题上标出记号,以防遗漏。

7.必须要用几个连词,或顺接,或转折,或让步,或比较。

8.写记叙文,注意六个要素:who,where,when,why,how and the result。

9.议论文,注意论点与论据一致。还要注意是让你写一方观点还是介绍对立的两种观点。

10.应用文主要是写信件或通知,告知活动安排。一般按时间顺序写比较稳妥。

11.出题人给出的参考词汇应尽量用上,不要自作主张忽略不用。

12.力争有闪光之处,因为你的作文全是简单句得不了高分。用恰当的连词把全文串起 来,用新颖的词汇传达最通俗的信息。

13.采用多变的句式,如被动句式,定语从句,with加复合宾语以及倒装句等。

14.有时候阅读题中的句型可以稍加改造,抄来用在自己的作文中。

15.字数一般应稍多于试题的最低要求,但不宜过长,因为言多有失。

16.写完后要检查复核,重点看动词的使用。最好是写完作文后先检查别的题型,因为自己刚写完的东西马上检查常常看不出问题。

三、提高写作能力的九个办法

1.多多背词。背诵量与写作水平成正比。建议最好背几篇近几年的高考试题范文,如写人背06年北京题王珊个人简历,写事背08年天津题地铁上的一件事,写议论背05年全国试题北京动物园是否应迁出市中心,写地方背06年全国试题介绍学校的图书馆。

2.首先练好五个基本句型。这五个基本句型是:

A.主语+谓语 The story happened yesterday.

B.主语+谓语+宾语 They study English.

C.主语+系动词+表语 They are from London.

D.主语+谓语+宾语+宾语补足语 She made Tom stand there.

E.主语+谓语+双宾语 I gave Tom a book.

3.开始练写作应从记叙文练起,如写人写事。写人写事的常用句型要记熟,如:

写人:

(1)他被认为是最好的学生之一。

He is regarded as one of the best students.

(2)他闲暇时经常听音乐。

He usually listens to music in his spare time.

(3)他的爱好是篮球。

Basketball is his hobby.

(4)他毕业于第八中学。

He graduated from No. 8 Middle School.

(5)他曾获英语竞赛第一名。

He once got the first place in the English competition.

(6)他友善并且随和。

He is kind and easy-going.

写事:

(1)故事发生在伦敦。

The story happened in London.

(2)起初,他没看见那个人。

At first,he didn’t see the man.

(3)然后,他走到汽车那儿。

Then he went over to the bus.

(4)过了一会儿,他上了小汽车。

After a little while,he got into the car.

(5)后来,他掏出了枪。

Later on,he took out his gun.

(6)最后,他被捕了。

At last,he was arrested.

4.经常写随笔。写的能力是练出来的,不是靠学语法规则能掌握的。要每天写几句,写自己想写又能写的东西。出点错误也没什么,写多了错误自然就少了。很多同学钻研单选的时间远远大于写作的时间,这实在是误入歧途,不懂高考。

5.找带参考答案的作文题来练。最好的练习材料就是近几年各地的高考试题。练习时,先看题,自己写,写完后看答案,根据答案,修正自己的作文。但注意不要过多修正,要保持自己作文的原貌,每次只改动3~4个地方即可。

6.记高考作文的好句子,并背熟。以下都是高考范文中的漂亮句子,非常地道,练习摹仿使用。如:

I get along with others easily,which is especially useful for a volunteer.

As is shown on Chart 2,only 10% of the time is taken up with sports activities.

I’m ready to give help whenever it is needed.

On the other side,where the playground used to be,now stands another building—our library.

He fellwith a cry. The car didn’t stop but drove off with great speed heading west.

7.有时间的话也可以抄写英文小文章。如抄写新概念英语的第二册,抄少了没什么效果,抄多了你的英语就会变得更地道,更有英语味。

8.变换练习方式,提高语言使用能力。不一定总做汉译英,可以练习把简单句变为复杂结构,练习句型转换,练习使用常用连词等。例如:

简单句变为复杂结构:

(1)The man was very disappointed. He didn’t know what to say.

The man was so disappointed that he didn’t know what to say.

(2)This is the room. I used to stay there.

This is the room where I used to stay.

(3)I picked up the book in the shop at the corner.

It was in the shop at the corner that I picked up the book.

(4)This is the best film I have ever seen.

I have never seen a better film.

(5)They realized it only after they got the news.

Only after they got the news did they realize it.

(6)I am sorry I missed the train last night.

I wish I had caught the train.

(7)When he stayed indoors,the door was closed.

He stayed indoors with the door closed.

(8)After he had finished his homework,he went out to have a rest.

Having finished his homework,he went out to have a rest.

(9)The teacher asked everyone to hand in homework on time.

Everyone was asked to hand in homework on time.

(10)New China was founded in 1949.

1949 saw the founding of New China.
