D. An introduction to the complex and contingent relationship between architects and the environments in which they intervene. Using contemporary and historical materials, students will begin to understand how architects establish and position design processes in response to their social, technological, and material situations.

E. This course is an introduction to the history and civilization of Europe and the Mediterranean area in the middle ages. The emphasis is on the dissolution of the classical Greco-Roman world into three kindred civilizations, Byzantium, Islam, and Latin Christendom; the formation of a new civilization in the West; and the beginning of the eventual rise to world predominance of the West.

F. The course provides an opportunity for students to test their interest in the social work profession by introducing them to the wide range of areas in which social workers practice and the skills and knowledge required in each area. Topics cover the history of social welfare.

In Huantai No. 1 High School, Shandong Province, 6 students were punished for cheating in the mid-terms, but this didn’t stop some students from doing the same thing.

“The line was so busy!” some student said after the Chinese exam. “Don’t forget to send me the answers. My number is …” someone shouted before the second exam began.

After one day’s exams, on my way home I heard some students talking with each other. “Bad luck! I was so worried that I sent a message to everyone I know to ask for the keys to the questions on the politics exam paper. Then I received a message saying, ‘Guy, we are having chemistry!’ ”

“The answers I received were mostly correct. I finished in the tenth place in my class,” said a student who had always been ranked among the last ten students in their class.

It’s clear that many students cheated. These 6 “unlucky” students were punished, but many others weren’t frightened at all.

More and more students start cheating in school exams. That must be why so many students did well in the exams at their own school, but fail in the college entrance examinations. We honest and hard-working students do hope that effective measures can be taken to stop cheating in exams.
