task one health information centre 目的 learn to give advice and make suggestions. talk about health. steps teacher’s activity students’ activity 任 务 前 step 1 ask the students to name as many parts of the body as they can. check the answers. name the part of the body. mark the body parts with the letters a-m individually. step 2 ask the students to focus on the five students in the picture. play the recording twice. check the answers. listen to the recording. write the number next to the students’ name in the picture. step 3 ask two students to read the conversation in the speech bubble. walk around the room monitoring their work. make their own conversations about the five students in the picture. step 4 play the recording of activity 2a twice. check the answers. listen to the 4 conversations and match the problems with the advice. step 5 play the recording of activity 2b twice. check the answers. listen and fill in the missing words.
任 务 中 step 6 ask the students to role play the conversations in 2b. move around the room while the students are working. pole play the conversation in 2b and present their conversations to the class. step7 help the students to form a health information center. guide them to act as patients and doctors. task two who is dr. know? 目的 learn to give advice and make suggestions. talk about health. steps teacher’s activity students’ activity 任 务 前 step 1 introduce more key words and expressions of giving advice. check the answers. match the words or expressions in 1a and 1b in section b. step 2 play the recording four times.(if needed, i shall pause it after each conversation so that the students can have enough time to write down the sentences.) check the answers. listen to the recording for the first two times and write the problems in the blanks after each person’s name. listen again and write what each person should and shouldn’t do for their problem.
任 务 中 step 3 ask several pairs to perform their conversations for the class. use the information in activity 2a to make conversations with a partner. perform the conversation in front of the class. step 4 explain the instructions for the task. move around the room and offer help if needed. ask the students to vote for dr. know the steps: 1 choose a problem from the list. 2 go to any student in our class for advice. 3 write down the best advice and the name of the student who gives you the advice. 4 decide who is dr. know. 任 务 后 step 5 check the answers. (the answers may be vary. if the student has too much yin. the words to be underlined are: eat hot yang foods, like beef or lamb. if the one has too much yang, the words to be underlined are: eat more yin foods, like tofu or bean sprouts; eat a balanced diet.) read the article in activity 3a and underline the things each student should do. step 6 check the answers. fill in the blanks on their own. make their own sentences with the words. step 7check the answers in workbook. do the workbook exercises.
