Unit 1 Would you like to go to the cinema?

■Warming up

Good morning, class! We study Module 6 today. This module is about cinema. A cinema is a place. There are many chairs in the cinema. There is a big screen in the cinema. We see films in the cinema. In the cinema you can watch many films, old films and new films. Who is your favourite film star? Do you like to watch his or her films in the cinema? Which film is your favourite film? Is it a Chinese film or a foreign film? Why do you like it?

Let’s turn to page 32 to see some pictures about cinemas.

■Vocabulary and listening

1 Match the words with the pictures.

On page 32, we see six pictures. Some of them are about cinemas and films. But some of them are not. What do you see in these pictures? Please match the words with the pictures below.

2 Put these phrases in the correct order.

The following three phrases are phrases about time. Please put them in the correct order. Which one should be the first? Which is the second? Which is the third?

3 Number the days of the week.

We all know that there are seven days in a week. Is Friday the fourth or fifth day of a week? How about Thursday? Please number the days of the week. Try to learn all the spellings by heart.

4 Listen and choose the correct answer.

5 Listen and read.

Now we are going to listen and read.

Daming and Tony are talking about something. Listen carefully.
