7B Unit 5 Checkout 教案

Step 1 Lead-in
Revise how to make a learning record.
1.Have a discussion about what students learned in this unit.
E.g. What did you study? How to improve it?
Can you do it now? etc.
2.Encourage students to make comments about how they feel or felt about the different tasks.
3.Do some exercises to consolidate the key Part A
Step 2 Presentation
1.Explain the context and instructions carefully.
This is a challenging exercise because either answer is grammatically correct.
However, one of the choices is more suitable than the other semantically.
2.Tell Ss to look at the table on the left first and read all the Class 1,Grade 7 Ss’ plans.
Ensure they understand that the heading ‘can’ refers to ability rather than possibility here.
3.Ask Ss to read what Daniel is thinking and then select the best modal verb from the two choices.
Tell them to refer to the table on Page 91 for guidance.
Remind them that ‘can’ refers to possibly, not ability here.
Step 3 Part A
1..Ask Ss to read out one sentence each.
Review the answers and give reasons for the choices.
Step 4 Word puzzle
1. Show them a word puzzle and ask them to find the words of adjectives.
2. Show them six small pictures in the textbook and ask them to find a proper word for each picture in the puzzle.
3. Ask Ss to check their own work.
Step 5 Practice
1. Ask some students to describe how to develop students’ ability
2. Some studends work in pairs.
Step 6 Production
1. Have a small quiz about how to help people use model verbs and adjectives.
Step 7 Revision of the language points
Go through the new words and the language points learnt during this lesson.
Step 8 Writing
1. Divide the students into 4 teams. Work in groups.
2. Give the students 5 minutes to finish the article. Walk around to help the student to organize their ideas and get more ideas. Tell the students to pay attention to the requires to get more points.
3.Have a competition to see who is the fastest and learns this unit best.
