The next morning, we arrived at an area of water by boat. People called it “a wonderful playground for dolphins (海豚)”. The guide asked, “Lucky girls, you can swim in the water with dolphins. Who wants to go first?” Shannon, of course, volunteered. She had waited too long and couldn’t help jumping into the water. Nearly as excited as she was, I decided to join her.

Attracted by our coming, a group of dolphins danced around us. Their happy sounds, almost like laughter, were everywhere. We had brought underwater cameras so that we could take some photos of them. However, as the dolphins rushed past us, we quickly forgot about taking pictures. For hours, we took turns to jump into the water, swimming and snorkelling. The dolphins never seemed to get tired. Neither did Shannon. Even under water, I could see the excitement on her face as one dolphin after another swam by. That was her dream.

When the guide told us that it was time to leave, we had to tear ourselves away from the water and get on the boat.   ▲  , the dolphins continued to follow us, playing and jumping as if they were saying goodbye to us. 

Many American kids earn (挣) pocket money by doing housework. But 11-year-old Aaron Conley doesn’t just work for pocket money. He has a full-time job and it needs training, hard work, and most importantly, a love of performing.

Aaron has performed different roles more than 300 times. Child actors like Aaron have taken years of acting, dance, and singing lessons. These young actors try out (试演) for parts in plays and movies. If chosen for a part, the children must work hard. For example, Aaron, a sixth grader, must juggle his acting work and schoolwork. That’s the hardest of all!

In fact, going to school became difficult when Aaron began receiving acting jobs in New York City. Many child actors go to private schools so that they can have flexible schedules (灵活的时间安排). However, these schools are expensive, so Aaron’s mother sent him to a public school. But the school schedule was difficult to follow because Aaron sometimes needed to leave in the middle of the school day for play practices or afternoon performances. Finally his mother decided to teach Aaron at home. But he still must finish homework just like any other student at his age.

Child actors and their families make many hard decisions. One of the hardest decisions for Aaron’s family was moving from Mississippi to New York City. Aaron needed to live close to his acting jobs. This meant leaving behind family and friends. Also, because of his busy acting schedule, Aaron isn’t always able to take part in activities. That makes it difficult to make friends in a new place.

Night after night, show after show, Aaron Conley is helped to remember the difficulties of his job, but he loves what he does. And it’s really worth the effort (值得去努力).

(   )41.What is the most difficult part of Aaron’s life?

A. Private schools in America draw up (制订) more flexible schedules than public schools.

B. Aaron studied at a public school for some time.

C. Private schools are more popular than public schools in America.

D. Now Aaron continues his study at home.

(   )44.The author probably wrote this article to .

A. share information about a boy who has a full-time job

B. teach the reader how to manage time between activities
