小作文的学习建议 试卷考查形式：

A节考生根据所给情景写出约100词(标点符号不计算在内)的应用性短文，包括私人和公务信函、备忘录、报告等。

小作文题型从2005年才开始成为考研英语试卷中的固定组成部分;从历年真题可以看出小作文最常考的应用文为信件，因此信件应当作为小作文的学习重点。海天考研刘老师以2005年真题为例，说明本阶段小作文的学习步骤。

2005年真题：

Directions:

Two months ago you got a job as an editor for the magazine Designs & Fashion. But now you find that the work is not what you expected. You decide to quit. Write a letter to your boss, Mr. Wang, telling him your decision, stating your reason(s)， and making an apology。

Write your letter with no less than 100 words. Write it neatly on ANSWER SHEET 2. Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter; use “Li Ming” instead. You do not need to write the address. (10 points)

第一步：认真阅读题目要求;划出重点内容要求——1. 应用文类型 letter(信件);2.应用文格式 信件(收件人;发件人);3. 内容要求 ①telling him your decision ②stating your reason(s) ③making an apology。

第二步：根据题目要求自行构思。构思时，务必保证中文思路的每个句子有明确的主谓宾;关键词需要确定对应的英文单词或词组。

第三步：精读范文，圈出亮点词汇及句式(如下)并记忆。

Dear Mr. Wang,

With regret, I am writing this letter to inform you of my decision to resign from my current position as an editor。

The primary reasons for my decision can be briefed as follows. After two months’ work, I have found that my character does not meet the requirements of this position which asks for a more energetic person with a broader vision. What’s more, lacking professional knowledge both in designing and editing, I do feel that my performance in daily work has been badlyaffected accordingly。

I hope you could consider and approve of my resignation, and I apologize for anyinconvenience I might have caused。

第四步：总结此类信件写作思路(第一段：开门见山说明辞职意图;第二段：辞职理由，从自身说明理由，并通过what’s more进行并列;第三段：希望对方批准辞职并为造成的不便道歉)。

第五步：结合自己的思路及语言表达，仿写一篇辞职信模拟作文或者默写范文;自我检查或提交给老师进行批改，改正其中存在的问题。
